If you would like to become a member of the Deep Space Exploration Society, our membership dues are $20 per year for a non-voting member, and $50 per year for a voting member. Student members are free! We have just added a lifetime membership for 20 times the voting member fee. The dues help cover our expenses to develop the Plishner radio telescope site, and to develop our activities. With membership, you will receive our regular announcement emails. You can participate in our activities, and insurance will cover you while you are at our antenna site (but please continue to be safe).
Voting members elect the organization’s Board of Directors at the beginning of each year. There are 7 Board Members, serving for two-year terms. One year will elect four Board Members, the next year will elect three. After the new Board of the year is in place, the Board then elects the four executive officers for the year. The President, Vice President, and Treasurer are elected from among the Board Members. The Secretary may be elected from a non-Board member.
If you are a licensed ham radio operator, you can use the HamClubOnline system to sign up as a new member. You will need to register and create an account. For security reasons you will need to provide the last four numbers of your FRN account. Payment will be made through the system.
For other new members, join DSES by clicking on the payment icon below and email us a copy of the Membership Form. Or you may mail us a check with your Membership Form, if you don’t want to pay online.
Membership renewals will be handled through the HamClubOnline system. Or if you don’t want to use the system you can mail a check with the Membership Form to our business address, payable to DSES, at:
